The image report option allows you to generate reports incorporating images that you have entered into your database.  You can print any combination of primary databases fields and images in your database.  You can select record ranges or all records on the search list.   You can use this function create full color catalogs or to create inventory reports for your personal records. To create an image report you need to specify four things:  layout, margins, records fields and images.

The layout section allows you to specify the way you want to display each selected records.  You can select the location of the image, the height in inches of each record, the number of columns to display and the spacing in between records.  If you intended to add a large amount of text you should increase the item height and decrease the number of columns.  Otherwise, text may overwrite other text because there won’t be enough space to print everything.

The margins section allows you to select page margins in inches.  You can also specify text to display on the header and footer areas of each page.  This text can include page numbers, current date, titles and so on.  

The record text area allows you to specify which records to display on the report and what text you want included for each record.  You can add any combination of primary database fields.  You can also specify the fonts to use for the displayed text.  If you add a large number of fields be sure to Preview your report before you print it, to make sure that there is enough space to display everything.

The image area allows you to specify which records images you want to include.  You can also specify the manner in which the images are displayed (horizontally or vertically) and the amount of space (in percent) the images take up relative to the text.    

Image Report Print Preview

The Print Preview area allows you to preview your image report before you print it.  You can also select the paper size and the printer to print to.  To update the preview area press the “Generate” button.   You can use the toolbar right on top of the preview window to navigate pages and control zooming.  Please note that you can resize the entire Image Report window to get a better view of your image report.
