Use the Sort Record function to sort the records in the database.  You can select the Sort function from the Main Menu or from the Toolbar on the View Screen.  You can sort using almost any field found on a record.  Please note that the existing record order will be permanently changed when you use the sort function.  If you are sorting a very large database (i.e. more then 5000 records), and have a slower computer, the sort function may take a couple of minutes to finish.
